|
|
i've been out of korea for a few months... i left my korean bank account (daegu bank) open with a few won left in it... i got rid of my international atm card after i got my pension back...
my former school just emailed me about how they deposited some back pay into the same account... throughout my time in korea, i always transferred money from my korean bank to my bank (bank of america) in the u.s...
i'd like to get the money, but there is a major language barrier both with calling my korean bank or navigating their website...
anyone have any ideas of how to transfer the money from korea to america while i'm in america?
thanks for any help! |

You need to use internet banking or telephone banking (there should be an english speaking operator). If you didn't sign up for internet banking you can't do it. It'll also be hit and miss if you can get it done via telephone banking. You might be able to close the account and have it transferred, but typically you can't do this through the phone since they don't have a solid system for verifying your passport details over the phone.
An e-mail might be better, along with a scan of your ID. |
