I live in Seoul, this would be shipped to my school. My friend was going to send me some of my favorite coffee (grounds) from Thailand. Just a can or something. Is this okay with immigration? Or will I run into any hassles?

It's fine. Just don't try to hide any weed in the coffee like that idiot did a few years ago. He got busted, arrested, and deported faster than it takes to roll a hog leg.

To add support, yes, it's fine. I've sent coffee from the Dominican Republic a few times with no problems.

Korean Immigration would never issue a visa to coffee grounds.

However, Korean Customs won't have any problem allowing ground coffee to enter the country through the postal service.

Have 'em send beans.
You can ground them here.

You'll appreciate them when they're more fresh.

Some advice: make sure its vac-sealed! Otherwise, its not a problem to have coffee sent to you by mail. Very Happy

The word coffee grounds implies used coffee. At least in North America it does. Makes your posting sound kind of funny, you might want to change it.

It's called ground coffee...and I will second the suggestion that your friend send you whole beans. The coffee tastes much better when you grind it yourself.
