|
|
I've got an old credit card from when I lived in Japan that I just cancelled and want to pay off. As I won't be back in Japan for a few months, I need to transfer my final payment to the bank's account in Japan.
I'm with KEB and have done a transfer to my Canadian account before but it was much more frustrating and time-consuming than it needed to be. Also, as it's only about 150,000 won, I'd like to know if I have any other (cheaper) options to pay it. But if I do decide to go through KEB, does it verify the name of the account that you enter so you're sure you're sending it to the right account?
Any suggestions?

The easiest way would be a cashiers check (money order) - assuming you can actually make a payment that way.
Alternatively, a bank wire but you need the receivers information.
I don't know if you can make a direct, over the counter C/C payment to an out-of-country C/C from a bank in Korea - even with your bill.
