|

Has anyone tried transferring money to another bank account number?
I tried to and after i input the amount and pin number, it also has another step that says something like : get a worker/teller to input a different number so i can use transfer...
is that right? so i have to go get a worker and get them to input a number for me or can they tell me the number? and if so, they have to do this every time anyone wants to transfer money?
or is there a number im not aware of that everyone knows to input? |

Were you using your bankbook (as opposed to your bank card) at the machine? If you don't have your bankbook set up with (another 2nd) PIN number, you can't do anything other than update the passbook at an ATM.
If you were using your card, were you trying to transfer to a foreign acct? Again, similar issue-- you need to be set up to do that.
Otherwise, sorry to waste your time... |

You need to set the bankbook to act like a bankcard for withdrawls and transfers-- not a biggie, but you do have to see a teller to get it done-- they'll activate it to do more than just update, and they'll ask you to set up a 2nd PIN number, in addition to the one you have on your bank card. 5 minutes, once you've waited in line.
Or just bring/use your card for any transfers, that shouldn't be any problem.

| If you are transfering money to an acount that hasn't been used for a while you will receive that message. Most employees wont know about this problem. |
