I am sending off my FBI background check docs this week. However, I am in contact with multiple recruitment agencies, namely Korean Horizons and Hands Korea. Since Hands Korea requires a physical apostilled background check mailed in with the rest of my docs, do I need to send multiple applications for the check, or once I apply for the check will that provide for all of my job apps? Or should I only be applying for jobs through one agency? I am confused. I have scoured the FBI background check website for this information but I failed to find it. Any information would be helpful.

Just to check, you are asking how to get multiple copies of your background check? I just began teaching this fall. For me, I mailed in only one application, but I made sure to note how many copies I wanted and wrote just one lump sum amount on the bank check I mailed with it. I hope this helps.

That is precisely the question: do I need to request additional copies for each job I'm applying to, and send additional fee dollars to pay for each copy? I am also applying for several local U.S. teaching jobs to work in the meantime, which also require Federal background checks. So, even though I have gone through the process of acquiring an FBI background check for one job, I will have to either go through the process again for different job or submit a request for multiple copies?

You shouldn't be sending your docs to Korea until you've got a guaranteed position. Email scans of your apostilled docs to recruiters, if they pressure you to send the original CRC etc before you have secured a job, then they're trying to get hold of your docs so they can hold them to ransom and force you into a terribad Hagwon somewhere.

Don't ever give your documents to a recruiter under any circumstance.

You only send them once you get the job.

If I were you, I'd pay for more than one check. I had 2 FBI checks from the FBI just in case. Request 2 or 3. It's not going to cost you an arm and a leg, and it would be good to have it.

adventurer is right, get 2 or 3, all apostilled. Once you have a job you only send in one with your other docs. If the job goes sour for whatever reason, you can switch jobs without much of a wait because you will have gotten extra copies of the CRC.

On the FBI CBC request form that you mail with your prints, you put how many copies you want and write the total amount you're paying for them.
