So, I have an E2 visa that can be transferred, but does anyone want to touch someone who has been fired? Honestly, the job was just a poor fit. I wanted to quit after about 2 weeks but I tried to hang in there and ended up getting the sack. I'll not make that mistake again...as long as I can find a recruiter who will work with me. An aggrevating number of them find out that I'm 40-something and stop calling. I have 2 years experience and a CELTA certificate. This should not be happening to me!

Also, I've tried to post my resume here on Dave's and it doesn't seem to be working. Does anyone know what's going on with it?

1. You can't view your own resume on dave's - only others can. Also - check your spambox. Several job leads / interview offers from responses to my dave's resume ended up in my spam-box.

2. I just got a decent paying, nice looking job after only never staying at a job for more than a year in six years and having been fired from two after 6 months and havinbg walked out of my last one after 2 weeks. Only took me 10 days to get it.

I'm 35, so a bit younger. Don't hold out for seoul or even gyeonggi though at your / my ages. Be willing to consider other areas. I never got one single offer from Seoul this time around but did get offers from daegu, busan.

One thing that helped me a lot also was I updated my photo. Got suited and booted (but no tie, I don't do ties) and went to emart's photo studio and had a head n shoulders pic taken and then got him to tart it up in photoshop (geting rid of the dark eyes circles etc... Wink

I think that if my resume posted properly, I would at least be able to see the headline and my name on there, but I could be wrong.

I do need to stay close to Seoul though. It would leave a big hole in my church community if I left right now.

You are wrong, it's just how dave's is.

Good luck with that - you'll need it. I don't wanna pee on anyone's fire, but I also don't like false enthusiasm...

In the last ten days I've been applying I haven't had one offer for a seoul interview and previous to the last job that only lasted for 2 weeks I applied for 9 weeks and only got one offer for Seoul.

Your mileage may vary though, of course. My 6 jobs for a year at a time only cannot be looking all that good on my resume....
