I've been getting bit a lot by mosquitoes. Anyone else? That's one thing I like about winter. I don't have to deal with mosquitoes:)

October and November is always when I seem to get bitten the most. I'm not sure why this is, but they don't bother me that much at any other time of the year. BTW I'm writing this whilst itching around 10 fresh mozzy bites.

Just buy one of those plug-in mosquito killing 'air freshner' looking things from Emart. Been using one for the last 5 months and haven't had a single mosquito bite despite having my window open almost 24/7.

Can I buy it at most regular, neighborhood supermarkets. I might get on of them. Last night, I got bitten on my finger and my neck. That's probably why I woke up before going back to sleep:) I am lucky mosquitoes aren't bigger than they are because my skin swells a bit where I get those bites. When I was a kid, I wasn't affected that way by mosquito bites. I wouldn't have the area swell a bit.

You can get them in most places including convenience stores. The most popular brand is blue and is called homemate (홈메이트).

I'm still killing them at home every night. Last night I splatted one on my wall and it burst like a grape.
Are Tiger mosquitoes dangerous? I have killed a few at my school recently.

I might look into one of those plug in mosquito... deterrants (?)... but next spring.

I find rubbing a bar of soap onto a bite makes it far less itchy. Since learning that I'm not so bothered about getting bitten but it's still an irritance

Open the window 40 mins or so before bed, and put the aircon and fan on wherever you can. Burn incense as well.

The mozzies don't like moving air and will exit the room.

Then close the windows as much as possible and turn the air off.

if you are getting attacked by mosquitoes then opening the window is probably the worst idea. closing it won't completely keep them out as they are homing missles that can get in through other cracks and even aircon tubing.

mosquitoes are neither deterred by moving air or incense, and there is very little in terms of scientifically proven methods that will drive them away. one of them is deet and i don't think you really want to tango with that.

they are attracted to heat and carbon dioxide and unless you have something that creates both to a greater extent than your personal signature then you are not going to be keeping them away. if you really have issues i would recommend a mosquito net around your bed and i'm not being sarcastic about that.

I taped all my windows where there would be an opening or seam.

I have one of those plug-in mosquito repellant things.

Despite that, I'm still getting mosquitos in my place. I kill about 2-3 a night. The plugin things do not work.

I find the moving air thing works. And it's recommended by Mayans so there.

I will say if that plug in thing works. I just went and got a big one and plugged it in. I still see some flying around, but haven't seen any in the last few minutes. I did get bitten by some still. If this plug thing doesn't work, that would be a waste of plastic. They sure like to bite the heck out of me. I used to proud about the fact that when I first came to Korea, Korean mosquitoes didn't like me. Well, now, they've fallen in love with me, and I want my space. Shocked Evil or Very Mad Bad, mogee! Anyone have one of those zappers. I love those. How well do those work? I should have bought one of those first thing. These miskeeters get into my toes, fingers, head, neck, you name it!

%#$##@$#$V Evil or Very Mad Mosquitoes go away!!! Exclamation Arrow

I think the real issue that we should be concerned with is the effects of a roomful of mosquitos on a fourth-grade classroom. Ever tried commanding the attention of a bunch of fourth-graders running from mosquitos, screaming and trying to smash them in their hands? Might as well just go home until winter.
