I'm sure this has been addressed before, but most of the information regarding HUFS does not clarify which department is being referred to. I am under the impression that conditions vary a lot from department to department.

If anyone can give me some information about what it is like to work at HUFS FLTTC, it would be greatly appreciated.

I would also like feedback from someone who has worked at Maven Language Center and can tell me what it is like to work there.

Thanks in advance.

As far as Maven is concerned, the Seohyun branch is fine. I would stay clear from any branch of theirs where you'll have to deal with JL.

If you meet JL you will know what I mean.

I'm compelled to post simply to agree with chillout, JL is awful. Be wary!

I work at the Bundang branch. This is where you want to work. Easiest job I ever had in my life. 1 on 1 with adults for 30 minutes each. Very laid back atmosphere in the office. The job is not for everybody though. I work a split shift but my morning starts at 10am so it's not that bad. There is an evening block shift available as well. You have to be at work for 8 hours but you probably won't be teaching the whole time because students may cancel. students are busy and cancel their appointments a lot. This morning I only taught for an hour. We're actually looking for a teacher for the end of November. My manager has found someone but I don't like the fact that she is about to hire some guy who has never taught English before. Our students are awesome and they deserve someone who knows what it's like to live and teach in Korea. If anybody has all documents ready to go is interested let me know. It would be better if you were already here in Korea. I'm tight with the manager and we can probably work out a better schedule/pay for you.
