Nabiya is the cat shelter in Seoul. They have a facebook page where people post cats looking for homes...you may be able to find one in your area.

Please try and do this through a shelter, rather than buying a cat. Smile

Good luck.

Don't get one unless you're willing to take it back home with you. You'll probably leave Korea eventually, think about that before you get a pet.

Don't be one of those selfish people that try and ditch
their pet 1 month before they high tail it out of K.
I second the shelter idea.

Seen to plenty of times. On a few occasions the person in question couldn't unload the animal and didn't take it back with them.

I second/third/fourth Nabiya, but only if you're serious.

Us good pet owners get our reputation ruined by other foreigners doing this. Statistically, we are just as unreliable pet owners as Korean teenagers.

If you adopt a kitten and then give it away a year later, you're basically robbing it of the one time in its life where it is most likely to get adopted by people who want a cat permanently.

i also agree with what everyone else said HOWever...
there is a cat shelter in Daegu which is much closer to you. At least if you dont want to keep it, you can take it back. They have loads of kittens.
Pets are for life and all that... Wink

Thanks for the replies, yeh I am trying to find an address for a shelter here in Busan or Ulsan and cannot find one. Quite frustrating as Im sure in a city this size there must be one somewhere but my lack of ability to speak Korean is a slight problem.

Does anyone who can read or search in Korean have an address or a telephone number of one?
As a last resort I would consider going to Daegu but would rather do it here in Busan if possible.

Animal Rescue Korea (link posted above) is just a collection of animals needing a home from across the country. If you'll look around you'll be able to find one close to your city. You can even search by location.

They just re-did the site about a week ago (and changed how you view the adoptable pets), so right now there's only a tiny fraction of the usual amount of pets they have listed. If you check the site again in a week/month there will definitely be more animals posted.

Right now it looks like there are no cats in Busan on the site. But there definitely will be in no time.
