I tired to book an appointment at Suwon Immi. today for Wednesday. Not a chance; there are virtually no free slots for the rest of the month.
Has anyone been recently? I remember going once and there were over 100 people ahead of me in the queue. I guess my only option is to start queuing outside before it opens. I believe it opens at 9. Im thinking of starting to queue outside from around 7 so I can be seen relatively quickly when it opens. Anybody any idea what time people start queuing outside so as to avoid spending literally the entire day at the office?
Thanks. |

| I was there this morning. I arrived at about 9am, and was done by 9.40. There weren't many people there at all. I'd say it definitely pays to be there first thing! I heard that they didn't accept bookings at all anymore, which could be why you found it difficult to get a slot? |

| I had the same problem. If you don't live in Suwon itself, but still fall under their jurisdiction for immigration purposes, then here is a possible solution. I needed a two day extension just to make sure that I wasn't going to overstay my visa. No deal with getting an appointment until November. I had someone in my office call immigration. They said that immigration had outreach days where they'd go to cities in Gyeonggi-do that fall under the jurisdiction of the Suwon office and that extensions and limited other things could be done there. I went to their outreach day in my local city. It took me three hours to be seen (my bad for turning up later on in the day). My visa extension got processed there and then. I believe they will do most things that you will need to do at immigration for these kinds of things (except they put a sign up later in the morning saying it was too busy to process F4, H2 or F5 visas). Appointments were not necessary. |
