And with good reason, it sounds like.
"The union was preparing unemployment benefits paperwork for the workers, who likely will qualify for 6-12 months of benefits, Thompson said."
^ This should be the story. 26 workers to receive full unemployment benefits after being fired for failing to clock out during breaks, and the union is spending employees' money to defend their right to take breaks without clocking out.

wtf?

Completely reasonable on Hert's behalf imo.

And then follows the usual hyperbole of (imagined) discrimination

Hertz then fired these workers after giving them an unconscionable ultimatum: Choose between your livelihood and your dignity.'

No they did not. They offered them ten minute, paid breaks and they refused to clock in and out for them and often went over the time limit, thus costing the company in lost productivity.

From what I've seen in less observant Muslim countries, workers don't just drop everything to pray when the time comes. They wait until it's convenient and then do it. Countries like Saudi Arabia of course are different.

Paid breaks to be able to practice their religion, and they're crying because they had to clock out, something that requires minimal effort, really, to receive said benefits? Entitlement much?

From what I know of them they are considerate of others' time.

I mentioned Saudi Arabia because I know they at least close businesses during prayer time.
