I wanted to know what grammar books are your favorite?

I have the Grammar Book by Heinle, Heinle. I like it, but I think I would like to have more than one resource.

I ordered "The Keys to Teaching Grammar" by Keith Folse. I heard him speak at the KOTESOL conference. The book, from what I can understand, is geared for native speakers who teach ESL/EFL to be able to quickly learn the common questions their student may ask them, and it deals with language interference in terms of telling you what errors people will make based on their L1 (their native language).
Betty Azar wrote the forward for his book. I don't have the book yet.

Speaking of Betty Azar, does anyone have any of her books? What to do you think of her books in terms of explanations and examples? Is one edition better than another?

Also,

I found - Grammar in Use- by Murphy to be very useful.

I have the same book. It's decent. It helps me understand things in a certain way. I don't have Azar's book. I may get a free copy of it delivered to my university. I just looked at the Murphy book on-line. It appears to be quite good.

The Oxford books students use are horrible. It almost seems arrogant because they give all these technical terms with few examples, and then the students have to be able to produce. That's not good work. Does anyone else have to use the Oxford books?

Which of these books do you have? I have the Grammar Book by Celce Murcia. It has many strengths, but it's focused on linguistics. I like it in many ways. I will also have the Keys to Teaching Grammar for me personally. A publisher will also send our uni Betty Azar's book. I sometimes like to compare the explanations of books. The Oxford books I use to teach grammar is rather horrible. I would rather we use some other book like Betty Azar's books.

I will check out Raymond Murphy. Is he your favorite?

My favourite is Scrivener. Murphy's books are kind of popular among British EFL teachers.
