Yes, because of the rain, it was soaked~!

I was on a roof with a group of friends, some didn't have umbrella, most small umbrellas were shared by 3 people.

A taxi driver told me the weather forecast misled everybody. Many people went to the beach early in the afternoon without an umbrella and they had kept sitting in the rain since then.

I also assumed many fireworks went dummy because of the rain.

I went to the festival on Oct. 22nd. It was raining all day. Finally, by late afternoon, my friend and I gave up and was about to head back to the bus terminal, but not before we took another walk on the Haeundai Beach promenade. The rain was now a light drizzle. There was a double rainbow on my left and a beautiful sunset on my right (looking in the direction of the Westin Chosun Hotel). We decided to go to Gwangali Beach to double check on the status of the scheduled fireworks show. When we got there, the rain had completely stopped. There was a good turnout of spectators. We had a terrific view of the show on the beach. All in all, a perfect day with perfect timing.

Good to hear you had a happy ending, Ralphie Wink

I got a lesson from last night, which is:

When you see things start to get bad, just give up as early as possible. (unless you are doing something that will change the world: e.g. diving to the deep sea without an oxygen tank to stop a nuclear bomb.)

I think I was more pissed I didn't leave earlier than the fact it was raining.

I also think it would be worth taking a risk of pissing the audience by telling them the fireworks show is going be put off to another day.
