I didn't know Jindo dogs can be black. I thought they were all some whiteish culture. I saw some foreigner with a Shitzu and a black dog. It didn't look like a lab, so I asked him what kind of dog he had, and he said it was a black Jindo. He found him on the street, and, initially, thought it belonged to someone, but he found that this ajumma near the dog didn't turn out to be the owner, so he took the black puppy home and has been taking care of him. He's one of the nicest looking dogs I've ever seen. He is very hyper, territorial, but seems to have this sweetness about him.

The black ones are usually a mix of some sort. Most of the ones I have seen have been reddish/brown color.

Out of the 50+ Jindos that have came through the shelter in Daegu over the past 2 1/2 years, I've only seen one black one. He was larger than all the others and very muscular. One of the most awesome looking dogs I've seen. He was very standoffish and the ladies at the shelter were scared of him.
