I have been asked for this. What is it exactly and who do I go to get it? Do I have to go to a government department or can I get it from my employer? If anyone knows please let me know.

Your employer gives it to you. They are required by law to give it to you. Simply tell them you need it, and they give it to you. They are allowed to charge a nominal fee for this service - a few hundred won or so.
Old job - you go to the old job and get it. It is simply a form that says you worked there from date A to date B. |
