Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants in Hongdae? I've only been to the bars/clubs there so far, but I want to check out some places for food too.

Any kind of cuisine will do. I'm not fussy. So Korean or any kind of Asian or Western food is all good.

Thanks Smile

p.s Obviously not too pricey, I am living on a teacher's wage after all!

Siam above the Hongdae Deokbboki place if you know where that is.

I haven't been to many Thai places in Seoul, but of the ones I have been too it is definitely the best. Certainly beats anything I've tried in Itaewon. Some stuff is a bit pricey, but if you go with a group of people and split a bunch of dishes it's not so bad.

Near Sangsu there's also a really cheap Mexian place and Indian place.

The Indian place is call Dabo if I'm correct. Certainly not the best Indian I've had, but it's really cheap. All of the curries are under 5K. Curry, rice, and nan is less than 7K.

The Mexican place is called Bella Tortilla. Pretty cheap grilled tortilla wraps. Again, not exactly legit Mexican food, but if you can ignore that, it's pretty good. About 5-7K for a pretty big tortilla wrap.

If you're into Greek food, this place is the best I've found in Seoul: http://seoulgastronome.blogspot.com/2011/01/tonys-greek-restaurant-in-hongdae-seoul.html.

I've heard good things about a place called Yeti in Hongdae. It's meant to be near the playground, but does anyone have any more detailed directions? Apparently it does good Indian/Nepalese/Tibetan food.
