Hi all... i need some ipad 2 fundies around to help me make sense of this thing... i need to add pdf e-books and music(.wma files)... and just any info regarding how to protect existing info on the tablet like when i sync it with another pc/mac... how can i keep my existing stuff without having to erase everything all the time...

First, make sure that you've unclicked anything telling you to sync with your home computer like music, video or books. As far as I know, photos and apps have to, but music and video don't need to. That way you can drag and drop stuff into the ipad.

With pdf files, you first need a ebook reader program. Ibooks is free and reads pdf files well. Also, ibooks allows you to simply drag and drop epub and pdf files onto the ipad.

Of course for all of this, you need to have itunes open. For the wma files, the ipad won't play them, so you'll need to either convert or find an app that can play them. (if there is one)
