Question: I've been lucky when it comes to my health (knock wood) and have mostly relied on using my Korean health insurance for routine stuff. I also have an unused expat health plan for travel, if I go home, or just in case of an accident here.
I expect to have inpatient surgery in the next few months for a minor problem and I'm wondering which would be the more cost-efficient plan to use. Either way, I expect to pay expenses not covered by Korean health insurance or the deductible under my expat plan. I don't expect my expat plan to cover expenses not covered by the Korean one, or would they? My expat plan has a fairly low deductible and can be used at quite a few of the international medical centres in Seoul. Also, would there be a great difference in service?
If anyone has experience with this I'd be happy to hear your opinion. |
