I'm also applying for next year and waiting for mine to be returned.
My understanding:
It is the subject access request form. Make sure the form says 'Form 3019' on the top right hand corner, not ACRO. The CRB form is for UK jobs. |

Not the one you both just described.
http://www.disclosurescotland.co.uk/ go there and order a Basic Disclosure. It's UK-wide and Korean Immigration accept it. It's much, much faster than a Subject Access Report, and requires less effort to get. |

I've already sent for a subject access request. Do you think that is ok? Will I be able to get it apostilled / Can any document be apostilled?
You have me worried now.
EDIT: teachkoreans.com says either check is fine, but you are right that a basic check from Disclosure Scotland is quicker - just remember to tell them that you will be getting it apostilled, so they add a signature to it. |

Yes that's it. Even if DS don't sign it (they forgot to do it on mine after I asked), you can just take it to any solicitor (who's not an idiot anyway, I had some who said they couldn't prove it was genuine, despite the water marks/contacting DS) and get them to certify it as genuine on the back, that's what I did.
Btw Korean immigration will still accept a Subject Access CRC, it just takes so bloody long to get. |

I've always used disclosures scotland without problems.
30 quid and 11 days turnover is pretty damned good! |

thanks setaro and mishpotato for those pointers.
I will ask Disclosure Scotland to sign the form and then get them to send it to me. Do I then have to send it to fco.gov.uk to get apostilled? (I'm living in New Zealand at present, so trying to work out how to make the process as easy as possible).

| Yeah get the DS Basic Disclosure and just send it off to the FCO in Milton Keynes, just make sure it either has DS's signature or a solicitor's certification first! |
