I'm not sure if this should go in the Job or Travel forum.
I was thinking of getting an ESL certification during my winter vacation. I am planning to go to Thailand and Cambodia for most of Jan and Feb. I would like to do something half online and half in the classroom. That way I could be partially done before I leave. I suppose I could find one in Seoul, but I am assuming it would be cheaper down there. Is this correct? Does anyone have any recommendations about good programs. I saw some really expensive ones (2500 USD) and they included a bunch of tours I am not interested in. So something streamlined would be nice.
Thanks |

The CELTA will cost you about $2000 (ECC or IH). This one IS the best in terms of name recognition (globally).
There are lots of (respectable) classroom based courses at about $1000 (120 hours with observed practicum).
Unless your only goal is a pay bump with EPIK you can pretty much skip the vast majority of the on-line stuff.
