Hey all,
I've been given a contract with a school, I've accepted and I've also been given my visa registration number. This is all great but when I've been looking on the embassy website (UK) there's a few documents I have to send to them that I don't have/don't know what they are and would really appreciate some clarification.
"original of valid resident visa" - No idea what this means, as in a visa showing where I'm from? I really can't make sense of it.
"confirmation letter from your health insurance stating coverage & one copy" - I was under the impression the only health insurance I'd need was the one provided by the school when I got there, I don't need to get some other sort of cover while I'm still at home, right?
"proof of group travel/ hotel booking in South Korea/ airline reservation for South Korea & one copy " - I'm only getting my flight tickets once I actually get my visa so that's kind of hard to do.
"reference letter from your employer/ education institution" - Asking for this shouldn't be too hard, but I had no idea that I needed this.
This stuff is slightly disconcerting as I'm supposed to be leaving before the end of the month (potentially mid-November) and this is the first time I've heard of these documents being mentioned.
I tried to get in touch with the Korean embassy yesterday and they wouldn't even talk to me but I'm going to try again today. Would really really appreciate any help or advice you guys can give me though.
Thanks a lot. |
