Hello.
An online acquaintance has recently convinced me to look into the possibility of teaching English in Korea. I am very interested. However, I have certain prescription medications that I have to take daily, and want to make sure they're readily available in Korea.
Frankly, I have no reason to believe that they're NOT available in Korea, since Korea is a modern country and since they're fairly common drugs. Still, it's the sort of thing I don't want to make any assumptions about if I don't have to.
The medicines I need are levothyroxine, lisinopril, and klor-con (potassium supplement).
Thanks for any info you can provide. |

Yes these thyroid / heart meds are most likely in Korea on prescription. An idea could be to simply google 'foriegn clinic in seoul' and email them or call them to check.
I would strongly advise you NOT to mention any of your health issues to a potential employer, especially in today's saturated and picky market.
You also need to remember you need a medical check for an e2 visa to teach in Korea, so consider whether you would pass one or not etc. |
