This guy got what he deserved for this bad habit!!
Ok I was riding the subway at Hwajeong. This guy got on and stood beside the door. There were a few seats, but he didn't sit down. He held onto that bar beside the door, and proceeded to 'sleep' standing up. His bag fell down, and lady sititng behind him poked him, to let him know. He didn't wake up. After trying 3 times, she gave up.
Here is the funny part. At Baekseok station, he was leaning forward quite far, while 'sleeping'. Forward and to the right. When the doors ckosed, they clipped his head. He continued to 'sleep', despite that.
Happened again at Madu and Jeongbalsan. At Juyeop, when the doors opened, he sat down on the floor, outside the train. Some grandma got u and gave the stupid babo his bag. He then took it, and got back on the train, this time sitting down like a proper person. |

I dont get it- was he drunk? Exhausted?
EDIT: what I hate is middleschol kids how are awake on the bus (sitting in the "yellow" seats no less) but when the bus stops and an older person gets on they instantly fall into a deep sleep. Usually I help them wake up and point to the older person so both are aware of each other. I am all about helping people! |

What I don't like is people who won't sit beside me when it's the only place available, but when another place becomes open they sit down. Even worse is when they're sitting beside you but then get up and go to another seat when it's available. |

Yeah, I notice that on some of the crowded buses going between Seoul and Icheon. I don't think much of it when someone doesn't sit next to me on the subway or on the city buses as you never know if they're only going to be on for a stop or two. But in the inter-city buses that go for hours, it seems stupid to have 39 seats on the bus full and 5 people standing when there is an empty seat next to me. Oh well, such is life. |

Its one of the few good things about Korean racism/xenophobia in my mind. It means I get more room and can splay my arms out as I am usually reading on the subway

I am also all for getting more breathing room. It doesn't bother me at all.
People pretend to sleep as a defense mechanism against beggars and salespeople. This guy was weird. The door clipped him in the head many times and he continued his charade. |
