| The prices of a lot of food items were much higher Friday night at grocery stores. It's the same way at convenience stores on their snacks. It was an 8% or so increase on a lot of different items overnight. |

| Food prices are going up everywhere. Shop around. You might find some better deals in the traditional markets. Quite often the high price you pay in the big fancy stores has more to do with you paying for their new building. |

It's mind boggling when Koreans are willing to pay the crazy price to eat Korean beef over cheaper US and imported beef.
They still refuse to consume imported beef or pork when it's labled as such. For this reason, I am told that, to force the Koreans to eat imported meat, most butcher shops and restaurants sell imported meat as Korean with higher prices. |

Especially since if the American meat gives them cancer they can just eat kimchi and the cancer will magically go away. |
