My contract states I need to give 2 month's notice to quit my job. I know labor law is 30 days. Does my contract supersede the law in this case? Or is it the other way around?
If I was to get a new job and stop coming in after 30 days, instead of 2 months, what could happen? |

If you know you have to give at least 30 days, then it would depend on the reaction of the school. They aren't going to pay your last month's salary if they think you should stay 60 days.
Figure out first what they will do. |

The '30 days' in labour law refers to how much notice your 'employer' must give you before letting you go(after having worked 6months for them).
You can leave tomorrow if you want. The problem is transferring your existing visa. This requires permission from your current employer. You can at any time leave the country, hand in your ARC at the airport immigration and start from scratch(CRB and Degree docs).
You wouldn't be the first to break such contracts so I wouldn't worry about it. What you need to think about is your relationship with the school(do you trust them), if you want to stay in korea, restart the document process, or just go home. |

Depends on your relationship with your employer. If you think he is a good guy/gal then give him notice. If he hasn't treated you fairly, then just walk because he will probably fire you once you do give notice. |
