I have a bit of a complicated situation. I'm an American finishing 2 years teaching in Busan, and I plan to travel to India afterwards, and then return to Busan before heading to America. Also, I recently lost my ARC card and just recently applied for a new one. I won't get the actual card until December 7, but want to leave before then. I have a paper "Certificate of Alien Registration." but I'm not sure if it's good enough. I have many questions, but let me ask the most important ones.
1) All Indian tourist visas must go through a company called BLS. When I call the number listed here http://www.blsindia-skr.com/kr/english/page.php?title=Contact%20us I get a message that the number is out of service. When I call the Indian embassy in Seoul, there's no answer. Is there a number I can call to get some help?
2) Do I need my ARC to get a visa? To leave the country? To collect my pension? What will happen if I don't have it? Is there a way to expedite the process?
3) How long does the whole process of Indian Visa by mail take from Busan for a double entry visa to India? Anything I need to know or any tips about this process would help greatly.
4) I have a KB bank account with enough money, but I don't have a credit card and my KB card won't work overseas. What do you suggest I do?.
I'm feeling quite overwhelmed, and the internet seems surprisingly devoid of good information on how to go home. Any help you could provide would be amazing! |
