My girlfriend and I are going to Vietnam for the Christmas holidays. I have two questions:

1. Does anyone know how to get a visa? I've heard that people need a visa to travel to Vietnam.

2. We're going to be staying in Ho Chi Minh city for six days. Does anyone have any recommendations as far as travel, sightseeing and eating are concerned?

Thanks!

Visa upon arrival at the airport. Follow the directions. Easy-peasy.

Where to stay? The Old Quarter.

You'll find lots to do. Water Puppet Theater, Halong Bay, ect...

Food? Tons...try everything, especially the street food. And fresh beer (bia hoi), made daily, fantastic!

hey, u can go to the embassy near anguk station (gotta take another bus to get there) and pay 84k for single entry or 120 for multiple. or if you buy the ticket from a travel agency, they will do it for you for the same price. it takes 5 days if u go to the embassy.

There's a big backpacker area in District 1. Lot's of bargain rate hotels and restuarants.
The Cu Chi Tunnels and the War Musuem are both worth checking out.
