Hi!
This is my first post. My girlfriend and I are hoping to get public school jobs in Korea this autumn. I understand the job situation is a bit tighter than it has been in recent years and we want to maximize the chances of getting hired. We are going to miss the main hiring in August unfortunately. We both have experience (in other countries), the required documents at the ready, and are willing to live close by in different apartments rather than together if need be.
So, the question is... I have read that your application will be dropped if you use more than one recruiter for public school positions. However, as it seems our recruiter is only SMOE and EPIK based, will our applications be dropped if we go through a separate recruiter for GEPIK?
It seems that Gepik has better holidays and I would just basically like to improve our chances with getting a first job!
Thanks for your time!! |

EPIK/SMOE: You can only use one recruiter.
GEPIK: You can use more than one recruiter (I emailed a GEPIK coordinator about this).
They work different which is why this is so. |

I was told last Friday they will only hire teachers with experience at this time for teaching this Autumn. (This was told to me by Korvia recruiters GEPIK).
They also asked if I was interested in teaching next year Feb. / March. They will take your application now for processing which starts in September. I don't know about the other programs. |
