I've heard that you can't just go by one off the army base and now you need a military ID number.
Does anyone know somebody willing to let me use their ID to complete an order?
If so, we will compensate whoever helps us get that BIRD for Thanksgiving!
Thanks. |

last year you could call the US Army's Dragon Hill Lodge and place your order and later meet them at the gate to pay/pick up; about 100, 000 won for enough to feed 8 people (everything); don't know about this year though; too bad the USO canteen closed........... |

High Street Market in Itaewon had ONE frozen turkey a few months ago that was reasonably-priced at around 45,000 won. I wonder if they'll be bringing in a lot for Thanksgiving at similar prices. |

Dragon Hill lodge isn't doing it for non US military this year during certain dates (i think nov 14 - nov 27). Luckily, i was able to plan a feast on the 13th and get a few ordered.
You can also try Suji's in Itaewon. They were gonna cater my party for 30,000won a head -- which was much more expensive than dragon hill lodge, but it had more variety of sides and they delivered. Unfortunately, this was the only alternative i found -- outside of cooking my own. |

Costco had a big boneless turkey breast for sale. I know it isn't the same as having a full turkey but it works in a pinch.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! |

Just called the military base and they aren't offering any food pickup from the gate between Nov. 14-Dec. 28, which means no holiday food.
I also called Haddon House and they have lots of unprepared food to buy, but no prepared meal to pickup.
Any other suggestions? |

Unless there was some serious miscommunication, they told us that they offer cooked turkeys (and they're definitely giving us mashed potatoes, stuffing, and cranberry sauce, so I'd be surprised if the turkeys are uncooked). Also, we were quoted two different prices for cooked and uncooked turkeys. Treat it like Korean immigration: keep calling until you get the answer you want. |

You can pre-order them at the deli counter there. There's a sign that says so. |
