I'm going home for Christmas and I'd like to bring my snowboard back to Korea on the return flight. I'll only be needing one suitcase, so I figured it would be a good idea to take advantage and bring my snowboard over as my second piece of luggage.

Has anyone done this? I assume it's probably a good idea to buy a proper air plane bag (I only have a regular flimsy thing). Anything I should know? Are there any places to get a wax/sharpening outside of the resorts?

Cheers!

Yeah you can bring you own board, no problem. Just invest in a solid bag.

I can only speak for Sungwoo Resort, but they had a really good shop that could edge, wax, and repair. During the peak times, it takes awhile. I would leave it with them on Sunday, they'd wax and edge it for like 20,000 I think. Then I'd just grab it Friday evening when I arrived. No problems.

You can probably have the shops do it too. I preferred Snow N' Street, near Gangnam.
