The Camarata Music Company is a registered non-profit organization, located in Seoul, that consists of two choirs (the non-auditioned CMC Chorale, and the auditioned CMC Chamber Singers), and one orchestra.

카마라타 뮤직 컴퍼니는 국가에 등록된 비영리 조직으로서 서울에 거점을 두고 있는 2개의 합창단 (오디션이 없는 단원으로 구성된 CMC 코럴과 오디션으로 선발된 단원들로 구성된 CMC 챔버 싱어즈), 그리고 오케스트라로 구성되어 있습니다.

The CMC Chamber Singers is an up and coming auditioned chamber choir of 24-28 singers (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass) that is earning a lot of recognition in the classical music scene in Korea. The Chamber Singers rehearses once weekly at a time convenient to all singers (usually Monday evenings or Saturday late morning/early afternoon) that performs regularly throughout the year. The 2011 season consisted of concerts at numerous venues and outlets, such as the Seoul Arts Center, the Blue House, the residence of the US Ambassador, the British Chamber of Commerce, the Seoul Rotary Club, Hoam Art Hall, and numerous others. Music of a variety of cultures and languages is performed, from Renaissance to Contemporary periods, and including brand new music. This year the Chamber Singers performed a world premiere of a song based on a poem of Robert Frost, and next year will premiere a song composed for the choir by Brett Kroening, based on a poem by Kim So-Wol.

CMC 챔버 싱어즈는 오디션으로 선발된 24-28명으로 구성되어 있는, 한국 클래식 음악계에서 많은 주목을 받고 있는 실내음악합창단입니다. 챔버 싱어즈는 단원들의 시간을 맞춰 주 1회 연습을 하여 (주로 월요일 저녁이나 토요일 늦은 아침 또는 이른 오후에) 한 해 동안 공연을 합니다. 2011년 시즌에는 많은 장소에서 공연을 하였는데 예술의 전당, 청와대, 주한미국대사관저(하비브 하우스), 영국 상공회의소, 서울 로터리 클럽, 호암 아트홀 등지에서 연주 활동을 했습니다. 챔버 싱어즈는 르네상스 시대부터 현 시대까지, 그리고 새롭게 소개하는 다양한 문화와 언어로 된 음악을 연주하였습니다. 이번 해 챔버 싱어즈는 로버트 프로스트의 시를 토대로 한 노래를 초연하였으며, 내년에는 시인 김소월의 시를 가사로 한, 챔버 싱어즈에게 헌정된 브렛 크뢰닝의 합창곡을 초연할 계획입니다.

The organization is truly international, and consists of members from more than 35 countries. Although rehearses are primarily in English, only a basic understanding of English is needed. There are members that translate various concepts and information, so there is no need to worry about communication. Although the choir performs at numerous functions, and performs music to the best of their ability, the choir still has fun, and enjoys interaction with each other, learning of other cultures, and sharing in performing music in a fun setting.

저희 조직은 매우 국제적이며, 35개국 이상의 단원들로 구성되어 있습니다. 리허설이 대부분 영어로 진행함에도 그저 기본적인 영어 이해를 필요로 합니다. 멤버들이 여러 컨셉과 정보를 번역함으로 의사소통에 문제는 없습니다. 합창단이 여러 행사에 공연함에 따라 멤버들의 최대 능력에 맞춰 연주하지만, 합창단은 재미가 있고, 서로 간의 의사소통을 즐기며, 다른 문화도 배우며, 즐거운 상태에서의 음악 연주를 공유합니다.

Auditions are in late November and throughout December by appointment. Please prepare one song that shows your voice to the best of your ability. The audition will also consist of a few other standard things, such as testing voice range.

오디션은11월 말에서 12월까지 예약으로 진행됩니다. 자신의 목소리 기량을 가장 잘 보여줄 수 있는 노래 한 곡을 준비하십시오. 오디션은 다른 기본적인 요소들, 즉 음역대 테스트 등으로 구성될 예정입니다.
