Vatos is opening up today (Friday, Nov. 4) in Itaewon. It had a soft opening last weekend but this weekend is the official opening. I went there last night and ate more than I planned to because the food was so good.
Here's more on the place below:

Hmm, I'll probably pop in sometime this weekend and try one of the standard tacos out. But the fusion stuff, chocolate-drizzled nachos? C'mon! |

I wouldn't really call that any more fusion than nachos themselves. Sounds like a tex-mex dessert to me. |

No offense, but this thread can't generate no more heat? I was expecting a Taco Bell debate by now! |

chocolate is often used in Mexican food. Chololate goes well with peppers and different meats. |

Worst value/taste ratio in Korea. And someone needs to punch the owner for devising Samgyupsal tacos. |

I walked by. It looked flashier than the other usual suspects. I ended up going somewhere else, though. |

Stopped in today to try it out. I had a couple of carne asada tacos which were decent, though a bit small. The tortillas are a combination of flour and corn which was kind of unique. Frozen margarita was a bit sweet for my liking, but Koreans tend to prefer things on the sweet side.
Their menu does have a lot of items geared to get Koreans in the door, which I think is a smart move. People here complain about the glocalization of a lot of Itaewon venues, but to be honest even in Itaewon foreign customers constitute only a transient minority. Successful businesses cater to the locals.
My girlfriend absolutely LOVED the kimchi fries, which means we'll be returning. They're dog-friendly, which is a plus for me. |

I like kimchi, but it really doesn't seem like something that would pair well with fries. Doesn't it drown out whatever crispiness they might possess? |
