Good morning all, and happy Monday!

I work for an after-school company who have kindly givven and gotten permission from the principal of my public school to allow me to have a second job.
I will be taking over from my F2 friend three times a week at a kindergarten school, however when I met the principal of this school, she contacted my friend's wife who acts as my "recruiter" and asked her to make the contract for immigration.
None of us have any real idea of what exactly we should do, hence my questions are;
Has anyone made their own contract in a similar situation?
What kind of things do I need to include?
Should I just use the contract my company gave to me, but just change the school, dates and salary?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated,

Cheers!

What type of visa are you on?

Be aware that if you are on an E-2 visa it is ILLEGAL to work at another job without IMMIGRATION'S permission. Your principal's permission is only valid if Immigration allows it. They have the final say as they are the ones who issue the visa.

If you are on an E-2 visa you need to take the paperwork and at least one of the representatives from either/each school to Immigration. Otherwise what you are doing is flat-out illegal...regardless of the principal's permission.

I'm somewhat confused...

You say you work for an afterschool program, yet you had to ask the principal of your school for permission? Shouldn't you contact the afterschool company for that?

To add to what Urban mentioned, if you work for a public school, you are not allowed to work for a private company (hagwon). You may work for other public schools however.

Thanks for your replies guys,
First of all - I haven't worked for the kindergarten yet. I have only met the principal at the said kindergarten, so I can assure you that I haven't done anything illegal.

Also, I did ask my company for permission, they then contacted the principal at my public school who authorized that I can have a second job added to my visa (my visa is with the public school). However, when I called immigration, they told me I needed a contract from my second workplace along with the authorization from from my visa sponsor (the public school).

BUT, the principal of the kindergarten seems very blase and told my friends wife "just make the contract" and she (I mean the principal) will sign it for me to take to immigration.

I can assure you I am tying to do everything by the book and nothing illegal.

There is a sticky above that has dozens upon dozens of contracts that you can copy and paste from.

Also make sure to refer to the labor standards act to make sure it is in compliance.

I'd start with one of the public school (GEPIK/EPIK/SMOE) contracts. They are probably the most well written.
