Hi
I recently was with a pre paid cell phone service but I could only choose from a vert limited amount of models for the phone itself.
Does anyone know of a pre paid cell phone site that allows you to use any phone that you have?

Prepaid scheme itself does not limit the models of handsets that can be used. Different carriers, however, do if a particular handset is of an older model without multi-band support.

I guess you'll need to decide at least whether you want a smartphone or a conventional mobile phone, and then which network to put it under considering the ease of top-ups, credit balance check, call rates, etc.
If you want a smartphone on a prepaid scheme, then KT is practically your only option, even though I doubt it's gonna worth it. OTOH, for a conventional handset, LGU+ might be the easiest to deal with.
Assuming you're NOT looking into second-hand market, then you gotta have some idea what type of phone you want, perhaps by skimming through manufacturers' Korean (not global/overseas) websites or by visiting regular vendors on the street/in shopping malls with better lineup of models for window shopping.
Nevertheless, if you try to buy a conventional phone by paying cash up front, for example, beware that you wouldn't be eligible for any subsidy which used to bring the price of those 'old' phones down to almost nil under a 2-year contract. Hence full cash price might as well be ridiculously high (not to mention out-of-date early smartphones) even when you're not getting scammed.

Im not looking for a new phone, or a smart phone.
I just wanna actually register an older style slide phone. But when I went to a couple of pay-as-you-go places, they said I needed to use the models that they offered/showed me.
I guess you cant use ANY phone on any network
