So I got my beta invite, went to the website and downloaded the client. I tried to login (think to download the entire 20gb) and it said sorry this region is not supported. I wonder if they are going to have this region blocked at final release? |

I got the client downloaded yesterday.. No problems there.
I'm due to start testing on Friday, I think. |

They've made it clear there will be no region lock at all. Just you can't pre-order from outside the main markets. But if u can get a box (yongsan Im sure will have) its no problem to play. And also you can likely download the retail version from the official site after launch. |

I beta tested this past weekend with no problems at all. If any of you are planning on playing, we should see about playing on the same server. |

That is a good idea..
My small guild is moving from SWG in its entirety, and it'd be great to have a few members able to play around the same times as me! We're mostly Brits, but we have a couple of Americans, Scandinavians and a few Slovenians, I think.
Played SWG from launch until the shutdown announcement, so we're all a bit excited about SWTOR. |

Must've of sucked to work so hard to unlock force sensitivity in SWG, only to have Jedi available to all months later.
I played Galaxies a few times. At launch, then after the Combat Revamp. Then again a little after that. My profession went from Carbineer/Squad Leader, to Bounty Hunter, to Commando. |

Anyone found a way to pre-order and get early access from Korea yet? |

It did suck. The real shame of it is the fact that when they announced that the game was to be shut down, it was better than it had been for years..
Go figure. |

Has anyone had luck getting the actual game purchased from korea? I really would prefer to play on release day (my hakwon vacation) instead of getting it 10 days later after classes have started back. |

For anyone interested, I was able to get my brother in the states to order it with his credit card, and then used hotspot shield (a free ip blocker) to download off ea origin. It worked like charm and now Im ready for the 20th.
P.S. after you actually get the game code/client you no longer need hotspot shield. |

I had a similar region problem when trying to enter my pre-order code. I selected North Korea by accident and it wouldn't let me enter the code.
As far as getting the game, have it shipped to someone in you home country and they can email you the code. You can openly download the client, you shouldn't even need a proxy. I've been playing for a couple days with no problems. Playing on Vulkar Highway (east) with some friends in the US with only minor lag at peak times. If anyone wants to play together, let me know. |
