|
|
Hello all.
An acquaintance of mine broke his contract with SMOE three years ago and went home. He applied for a new job recently, but the Korean consulate there has told him that he cannot get a new working visa since he broke his previous contract. He was hired by another Korean school, but had his contract voided because Korean Immigration would not grant him another visa.
What can he do, if anything, to get another working visa? |

There is more to the story than a simple runner (breaking the contact and leaving) or immigration wouldn't care. People pull runners and return all the time.
If he is on a persona-non-Grata list at immigration then there is NOTHING he can do but pick another country.

I think the answer is look for a Hagwon. I don't know if you are blocked from uni jobs if you quit SMOE/EPIK before the end of the contract? |

Ask at the consulate/embassy.
If they tell you they won't issue a visa then.... pick a new country.
