I've been looking for a place to play some pick-up bball in Seoul. The only threads that I've seen so far seem like they're geared towards people who played basketball in college or at least in high school. Some even claim to have played D1. I consider myself pretty decent at basketball, but not up to the level of anyone that plays in college. Are there any places to play if you're not looking to be shamed by ex-college players?

I live in Seongdong, but I have no problem traveling elsewhere to play. I would prefer to not have to pay, however.

I know about Yonsei and Yeouido Park--are there games there for someone of my talent-level?

D1 talent? You're joking, right?

Anyway, I used to play at courts on Sogang University campus. Pretty decent talent but nothing that will blow you away. But, dang, young Korean men can run and run and run and run...

Well its probably too late as its getting cold, but FYI icheon Hankang park (straight out of exit 4 of Icheon Station down the alleys to the Han river, then turn right and walk for five minutes) has some pretty good Sunday action.

Korean guys play regularly there and are pretty good (and reasonably competitive without being macho) and some foreigners play as well. Good times.

When the weather is good games are always had around 3 on Sundays, but with witner approaching we are seeking an indoor court. Will post on forum if we get one.

Cheers

Koreans have problems with double dribble and traveling big time as well as getting their shot off when faced with a half-decent defender. I haven't been to the courts in a while and I'm sure Korea has improved but KBL games are like...
