Well people, the New Year is coming, and as is traditiion we make idiotic promises to ourselves, and to others.
Well, my girls bought me a banjo for Chrissy. I've been harping on about how I want to play the banjo for 200 years. They bought me a 5 string. Now I have no choice. I have to learn how to play it in 2012. If I don't, they will be really hacked off come next Christmas.
I have also promised to drop 40kg (yes, I'm a big fat Alan at the moment), and..... that's all.
I stopped smoking last year (last years promise), so that's one for me.
Anyway, what have you achieved and what do you promise yourself and others for the coming year.
Peace. |

I already lift 3 times a week at the gym, but I will add in post lifting hiit cardio and abdominal workouts.
And because 6 packs are made in the kitchen, I will watch my diet. Eat more veggies and less junk food, i.e. cookies/candy. But starting January 1st of course. Time to go back to laying in bed while enjoying these chocolate cream Oreos. |

Thank you bros.
Jyang and Rahulo, Some good goals. I hope you fulfill these resolutions and grow.
I too, even in my fading years, would like to see the 6 pack once again, but , more importantly, just a healthier lifestyle.
Peace Brothers.
May you achieve what you desire. |

I'm going to stop ordering from iherb every week. I've been spending way too much money there. I'm also going to start going to a gym twice a week with my husband, even though gyms here gross me out. I've got just under 4 kg to lose until I fit into my size 0 jeans. It was 3, but then the holidays happened
All in all, no big resolutions this year. I'm quite happy with my life in general. |

Can you explain to me how a size zero works? Women thinner than you would need to wear size -1 or -2? Is it just some marketing gimmick for women overly concerned with their weight? |

It's a size. It's on par with a 24-26 waist in European jeans. Thinner ladies would need to wear a junior's size 14. Does that clarify it some? |

My only recent goal was to lose some belly fat and strengthen up. Already half way there and it's not even 2012 yet. Here's to a barrel full of willpower for the new year! |
