Finally got my daughter's alien card and they left off ONE letter. Arg. So annoying. Anyone had this happen to them? Do I have to pay for everything again if they've made the mistake? |

Is it a really long name that exceeds the character limit? |

Get that corrected before trouble arises. Anything ID related should be fixed ASAP. |

Take it in.
Show her passport.
They will correct her file.
They will fix it and get her a new one (probably take a few weeks for it to come).
There is no cost (other than getting to immigrations).

Really long name. Doesn't exceed the limit. They fixed it for free since it was their fault. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks to get the card. The hospital will not be pleased since supposedly I only had 30 days to get her ARC: |

No.
The law says you have 30 days to register her at immigration and legalize her status (F3).
You have done that. You are fine.

I know. But the hospital says I need to show her on my health insurance. |

At least you got a new card. My current four year old card has the back covered in "sign-pen" corrections, visa changes and address switches... |

So does mine. The new card isn't all that special. there isn't much room, so I'm sure I'll have to get a new one more often. |
