So I'm about to sign a contract for a second year, but I'm switching schools because I didn't have the best experience at my first one. My question is, does anyone have any advice for me on what to push for? Now that I have one year experience and I'm already in Korea, visa docs complete and no need for a plane ticket, what kind of positions/pay etc should I be asking.. er.. demanding? Thanks in advance, MUCH appreciated |

We don't know what your experiences were. Generally, 100,000 increase is to be expected for pay. Where do you want to work next? After you decide that, who do you want to teach? |

By bad experiences I mean my work tried to cheat me out of overtime pay and lots of disorganization etc. It wasn't the worst school ever but the bottom line is I'm ready to work for a new school.
I don't really care who I'm teaching, I have experience with kindy and elementary which seems to be the norm.
I'd like to be in Seoul preferably. I've heard different things about the fact that I don't need a plane ticket to Korea. I've heard that I should either get the money for the plane ticket or that I should get a higher salary since they are saving money etc. Anyway, I just wanted to get the general consensus of what everyone else thought.
Thanks for taking the time to reply |

Based on the anecdotal experiences of those I know, while you should get more if you're hired in country, you probably won't. |
