I was thinking of ordering some silver coins maybe silver eagles or something of that nature. Would I have to pay taxes here if I order them?

If the order is more than 150k won (including shipping - per order) then yes.

If not, then no.

Don't forget that the Korean won has seen a few wild swings here and there, so the won exchange rate the day your package gets to Korea could be a variable.

True. What about if I wanted to order kindle? They cost more than 150 for the 3G. I would buy one here if I could, but I wouldn't know where to buy one. I suppose I could buy one and have it sent to my folks, and they could mail it as a gift. What do you think?

I just purchased a Kindle Touch from ebay this week, and the seller had no problems marking it as "Gift", just had to ask. We'll see how it all plays out in a week or so...
