Hello,
I have just been offered a job at CPIS (Canadian Public International School, it is a Hagwon, not an actual international school). I am just wondering if anyone has any experience here or knows anyone who has worked or lived in this area. It's is 2.4 million won each, it is a couple position, our first time teaching in Korea but we are both certified teachers with experience teaching in Canada.
They are allowing us to bring our medium sized dog (about 50lbs) which we have been very straightforward about and spoke to not only the recruiter but the employer about during the interview. Anyway, just wondering if anyone has any opinions about this area, possibly opinions about owning a dog in this area. She is used to apartment living but it would be nice for a patch of grass or a park or hiking trails around the area (from what I am told, hiking is really big in Korea so I have high hopes). Thanks for your time!

I live in Yangcheon-gu. Frankly, it's a boring place to be. It's nice in some areas, but going west it starts to become pretty bland and clunky, like a lot of the rest of the city is, but it has no character. I'm moving close to central Seoul in a few days. Can't say I'm going to miss the area. Mostly it's just young families and tteok restaurants. |

Thanks for the replies. I am not worried too much about it being boring, but I appreciate the feedback. Is there a scatter patch of grass around or is it within a decent walking distance to a walking trail? |
