I've lived in Korea for several years and I've never smelled a student with underarm or BO...until now. I heard that Koreans bodies were different and that's why they didn't need deodorant..etc.. etc. but this year..Phew!

My stomach has become sensitive to the foul- smelling BO that I believe is emanating from the boys and girls alike (6th grade through 12th grade)
it's a mix between a billy goat, sour milk, old unwashed gym clothes, garlic, and pure "I need to take a shower"-funk!

When I walk into the classrooms, its almost impossible to proceed with my presentation, without gasping for air.

Yesterday, I became nauseous for the third time this week.(And I have a strong stomach)

I'm beginning to suspect that its a change in the diet. Eating more junk food as opposed to healthy food. Processed instead of whole foods. I wasn't going to mention this here, but I can't help but wonder if any of the veterans on this board have noticed the gradual/sudden onslaught of body odor.

How can I/should I address this issue or should I just wear a mask?

Serious replies only please. I'm not a troll, just a concerned teacher.

I used to have students loudly complain about "weigookin namsae" as they entered my classroom. Now I spray febreze (페브리즈) around the classroom before the students enter. No more complaints. You can buy it at HomePlus.
