| Do you still need to wait for 6 months to get a letter of release, or can you now do it at anytime? I would like to go back to my old job. |

You can get it whenever, but it's up to the employer as to whether or not they will give it to you at all.
Missing after school, eh? I am starting one on Monday. Pretty jazzed about that. |

| Yeah, you can get one prior to the six month employment mark. I did. Presently working for an after school organization, living in a beautiful new apartment I picked out, and life and work has been stress free ever since. Hagwon jobs earn my pity now, simply can't beat it. Kingsurfer was also one of the people who supplied some of the most useful information on these programs. Get back in on it mayne. Good luck. |

This, literally, x2.
I work 4 hours a day, have my own apartment close to my school and the subway station in central Seoul, and life has never been better. I still have PMs to Kingsurfer from months (and maybe years) ago asking him to dish me some information on how to get after school positions. Now that I'm living the dream, I see why these positions are considered diamonds in the rough. Good luck, man. |

Yes, I DO MISS THE ASP. Outside of uni, it is (imo) the best esl teaching job you can have in this country. I have gotten an lor before so I know what it requires. It wll probably mean giving up a large portion of my paycheck.
