I've been reading TONS of posts about the horrible experiences working at Bundang Kids Club. Is that the same as LCI Kids Club in Bundang? I know a lot of these places have similar names...

I just signed a contract with them...I hope it's a different place. Does anyone know, or is anyone familiar with the LCI in Bundang? Location: Jeong Ja-dong, Bundang-gu, Sungnam City, Korea

Thanks!

They are the same as LCI Kids Club but really why would you ever think about signing a contract with anything related to Kids Club. There are plenty jobs that are good jobs.

Oh no...they are the same? I thought they were different places, because so many of the schools have such similar names. I also heard bad things about LCI, but was assured that it depended on the branch.

So it's definitely the same school, then?

crap.

Is it possible to go back on the contract? I haven't sent in any visa documents, but don't want to ruin my chances getting a job at another school...

Think about it:

1. Similar Name
2. Same Location

Just don't bother with them and look for something better.

evil hagwons often change their names to something very similar to the last name when teachers/students get upset at the old one

Ok, so this school is obviously bad news. I have already signed a contract, so is there a way to get out of it? I haven't sent any visa documents in yet, but what kind of actions can they take against me if I back out now? Will I be able to find a job at another school, or will my name be put on some list with the visa office or something...

And thanks for your help so far!

LCI Kids Club and Bundang Kids Club are NOT the same school.

You gave LCI's school as Jeongja-dong, while Bundang Kids Club is in Gumi-dong (near Ori).

Ori is about 2 minutes from Jeongja. Seems a pretty similar location.

OP, as long as you haven't sent in any visa docs, you should have no problem. Just say "family emergency" or something and that'll be that. They're not going to hunt you down.

Did you take the job at LCI Bundang?

Does anyone have any reviews on this specific location? I know there are other LCI's with different directors, just wanted to know if anyone has specifically worked at this one.

I spoke to one of their current English teachers and she seemed to like it.
