Hi folks,

My beater needs new tires and brake pads, and I've been checking out some of the garage chains like T-Station and Bluhands, but haven't been too impressed with the prices

Can anyone recommend a good independent garage that doesn't charge a fortune? Also, could you throw some ballpark figures at me for what I should expect to pay for 4 tires and 4 brake pads?

Oh yeah, I have a '97 Avante - small car.

Thanks!

Costco for tires. If you're really looking to save and don't drive that many miles, go somewhere that sells used tires.

Brakes I don't know.

There's a guy between the Crown Hotel and the big new glass building (Yongsan Gu Office?) who owns James Garage. He will install the brakes for you at a decent price.

Thanks everybody. I'll be venturing out on Saturday to get it done, and will report back. If anyone else wants to chime in, more information is better!
