I have the F4 visa I have been working at a privately-owned hagwon for about six months now. I've been in Korea since July 2010.
My boss told the teachers at my hagwon that the laws have changed for F4 visa holders, and that he cannot register us with the Board of Education unless we submit a copy of our CBC and health check.
I understand why they would require a CBC, but he was not very clear on why we need to do a health check. At first he said that it was a requirement from the BOE, but then he said he wanted to make sure we were healthy (?). If it isn't a BOE requirement, it sounds very sketchy that he would want us to get a check-up to make sure we are healthy...
Has any other F4 visa holders experienced this within the past few months? My boss said that the laws were changed last August, but he did not ask for any of this when I was hired six months ago.
Thanks in advance! |

| I have to submit for a health check also. My co-worker who is also an F4 and has been teaching for 7 years here also had to do a health check. I don't think it sounds suspicious.. |

Okay, I just wanted to ask around to be sure because none of my friends who are F4s had to get a health check when they got jobs recently.
Thanks! |
