|
|
Domino's Pizza's has just begun an English-language delivery website.
So now one does not have to know Korean to order pizza via their website.
Go Dominos!
Order Domino's Pizza here:
www.dominos.co.kr/eng
I hope more companies will start having English-language delivery websites.

They were up at least a week or two ago, as I signed up then. |

You do know there is a way around this, don't you? If you like pizza or chicken or whatever from a local mom & pop shop and don't speak Korean well enough to order on the phone....
Just drop by the shop, smile a bit, and then write your name and address (copied from the back of your ARC). Give them your name. They understand that you don't speak Korean (obviously) and will keep your name and address on file. All you have to do after that is call and say, "X im-need-a. Whatever joo-say-yo." And twenty minutes or so later a scooter will pull up in front of your building with your order. |

I signed up about 3 months ago and now I'm getting spam from dominoes every 4 weeks or so.
Also, I clicked a button that said 'sign up for spam from us every weeks or so' because I felt like I was giving a tip to the website.
Just be careful is all I'm saying. It's a jungle out there ( a jungle of pizzas ...D..elicious!!). |

Or some of the more American pizza flavors beside cheese and pepperoni. |

The English version of their website went up back in July but I couldn't tell you guys about it because the mods sent me on a one-month ban holiday at the time.
Those pasta bread bowls are a mushy mess: bread, pasta and potato together? with tons of gooey tasteless processed cheese. Ugh.
About twice a month I get: Half and Half, Pepperoni and Ground Beef (which Koreans call 'bulgogi' even though the topping is the exact same as elsewhere in the world - not special Kguys, so no need to swoon over waygookin selection of it) on original crust. |

Here's how to order pizza from any Korean shop, without leaving your house.
1. Dial the phone number
2. An-yon-ha-say-yo, Way-Goo-Gin.
3. Pizza, _____________ (say what kind: Cheese, Bulgogi, Ya-chey (vege), Pep-A-Ro-ni)
4. La-Geee (large), Rey-Gyooo-la (medium)
5. Cola
6. Give them address. Have someone at work write your address in English, phonetically.
Done. Do it once and they will have your name and address on file. |

Yeah, what's up up the processed cheese, Domino's? I ordered from there once; I ate one slice and gave the rest to the building security guy. |

But when you order online, you get a 20% discount. Try getting THAT over the phone. |

Just tried to order online, seems like they require you to pay by credit card, and you can only do so by downloading some Korean program called Inipay, and installing it is all in Korean, and then you have to pay some sort of test fee of 1,000 won, but I'm not totally sure. Confusing, takes too long, I give up. I'm just gonna call!! |

Actually, Korean delivery restaurants want your address first, then the food. Saying the food first often confuses them.
But yeah, once they get to know you as the "the foreign guy who wants a large pepperoni and mushroom and he lives at ZZZ" then it becomes real easy. So it pays to be loyal. |

That's just great. Hopefully, the other pizza chains like Pappa John's and Pizza Hut will do the same. I forget if Mr. Pizza delivers pizza or not.
I didn't eat their often. |
