Did you know that 2500 won is added to your electricity bill every month to pay for the TV channels KBS and EBS?

I didn't. Just found that out after 10 years in Korea!

So I've paid 300,000 to KBS and EBS!

I noticed it a while ago on our electricity bill. We didn't have cable back than and didn't even have a TV. So my wife called them to get rid of that expense but they said it isn't possible. So that's what that 2,500 is going towards! This has been puzzling me ever since I got here, but for the sake of 2 quid a month I never bothered phoning up to find out.
