So I'm feeling bad for the furball because he lives in a tiny place and doesn't have much to playwith. I was going to get him a big scratching post/climb on play thing. I haven't had much luck looking around though it seems mostly smaller, anyone else have a good website for that kind of thing that they use or found something somewhere?
Second part is, I need a korean vet to get the furball his regular checkups and such. And just to know where to take him in case of an emergency. My fellow korean teachers don't have animals and don't seem to care about helping me find one. "Oh I don't know." is about what I get, though I'll ask again today. Wondering if there's an easier way to find one, though I don't know what that would be. |

Twist ties, string and cardboard boxes. Anything fancy or expensive is wasted on a cat (unless it's edible.) My wife made a really cool "cat-cube" out of six, 3000원 floor cushions sewn together. |

if you are not the creative type, you can order stuff off Gmarket.
As far as vets go, almost every shopping complex in Korea has a vet's office / pet store that can take care of your cat. |

I brought a bunch of toys from Canada and found a scratching post on the side of the road. New cat stuff is really expensive. Maybe GMarket is okay, but that stuff is obscenely over-priced in pet stores. Check posts on the Buy and Sell forum here or Craigslist. |

Some vets are better for treating cats than others. I shop for cat food at clinics in order to figure out how good they are at cat care. I've found a few great places, and one suspicious place that tried signing me up for monthly cat haircuts.
My cat was bored whenever I went out, so I got her the best thing to keep her entertained: a second cat.
As far as hairballs go, it's common to find cat foods that specifically have hairball medicine. It's all my cat eats. |

Get him a cheap little carpet for him to scratch. One thing you can spend money on is catnip. Rub a ball with it and let him go crazy. Most pet stores I've been to have it.
Do be careful of vets though. Every resource I've got from America told me canned food/real meat is better than dry food but I've seen vets here tell people to only feed their cats dry food. This is may be true with dogs and it's possible vets inexperienced with cats just repeat the same thing because they don't know any better. |

I got my cat a cat tower. I splurged and got a pretty nice one. Considering my cat uses the thing everyday, I think it was money well spent.
I use Gmarket for most Cat stuff, and catsnara.co.kr for some specific cat-related things.
A plain cardboard box will do wonders for keeping your cat occupied. I like the ones with the handle holes in the side. When my cat goes in the box, I'll drop some string or somethign in the hole and they go crazy. |

This one helps the most thanks. I'm not creative at all lmao. I've looked around in shopping areas but the pets stores i've been to don't really have anything. Also I haven't had my address so it's been hard to ship. I'll get that and go look around, if not I'll try gmarker or that catsnara.co.kr . Thanks for all the suggestions! |

I've seen a small selection of cat things at LotteMart, toys, stretching posts and a few bed items. I agree Gmarket is better but at least at LotteMart you can see it in the flesh. |

If you go to Chungmuro Station and then walk towards Dongdaemun Art and Culture Park Station (walking along Toegyero), you will get to many pet shops. There are a couple of places that sell lots of cat supplies, food, treats, towers, etc. on your left a few blocks down. |

Get a laser pointer. Shine it around the room for 15-20 mins a day and let him run wild trying to catch it. |

I've been using www.cucucat.co.kr for almost a year now. They have fast service and everything you can think of and more for cats. As for the vet, I can't help you-sorry! |

Do they allow foreigners, or did you need to register through a Korean? Looks like the prices are pretty decent. |

there are a bunch of sites:
catsnara.co.kr
maxcat.co.kr
to name a few. All of them have an option of "non-registration order". I believe its called "비회원"
You can order without having to register on the site. Jsut be sure to write down your order confirmation number incase there is a problem with the order. |
